Man stabs woman multiple times in San Antonio apartment assault

A woman is in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times early Wednesday morning at an apartment in San Antonio. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at an apartment above Beringers BBQ Bar and Grill on Vance Jackson Road, where the victim, believed to be in her 20s, was visiting a male friend. The suspect, a 24-year-old man, kicked down the door and attacked her, stabbing her in the neck and chest. After the resident intervened, the suspect fled but was apprehended a few blocks away by police. Both the victim and the suspect were known to each other, though the nature of their relationship is unclear, and police are still investigating the motive for the attack. The woman was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
