Ola Aina Extends Nottingham Forest Contract to 2028
Ola Aina has signed a new three-year contract with Nottingham Forest, securing his stay at the club until 2028. The 28-year-old Nigerian international played in 35 of 38 Premier League games last season, helping Forest finish seventh and qualify for European competition for the first time since 1995-96. Aina, recognized for his defensive skills and leadership, has made 59 appearances since joining from Torino in 2023. The club is focusing on retaining core players, with Chris Wood, Murillo, and Neco Williams also signing new deals. Owner Evangelos Marinakis and chief football officer Ross Wilson praised Aina's influence and alignment with the club's long-term ambitions. Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, who recently extended his own contract, emphasized squad unity as Forest prepares for a more demanding campaign.
