Cleveland Browns Lose Assistant Nemo Washington to Delaware State OC Role

Nemo Washington, a member of the Cleveland Browns coaching staff, is leaving to become the offensive coordinator at Delaware State University under head coach DeSean Jackson. Washington, who was part of the Bill Willis Diversity Coaching Fellowship, previously worked with the Browns' running backs and tight ends, gaining valuable experience. In his new role, he will help rebuild a struggling program that finished 1-11 last season in the competitive Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Jackson, a former NFL star, is looking to revamp the Delaware State football team and has already signed notable talent, including Antonio Gates Jr. Washington's prior coaching success includes leading Wheeling University to set multiple offensive records. The Browns will now need to find a replacement for Washington as they aim to improve their own offensive strategy for the upcoming season.
