Scottie Resources Files 703,000 Oz Gold Maiden Resource Estimate in BC
Scottie Resources has filed its maiden NI 43-101 technical report for the Scottie Gold Mine Project in British Columbia's Golden Triangle, revealing an inferred mineral resource estimate of 703,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 6.1 g/t. The project is optimized for a phased mining approach starting with a shallow open pit to minimize initial capital expenditures and generate early cash flow, followed by the development of higher-grade underground resources. The deposit includes 528,000 ounces at 8.7 g/t in underground resources and 174,000 ounces at 3.2 g/t in shallow pit-constrained resources, with expansion opportunities as the deposits remain open in multiple directions. The project benefits from existing infrastructure such as roads, proximity to a deep-water shipping port, and nearby power lines, supporting a high-margin, low-cost Direct Shipping Ore (DSO) model that avoids the need for an on-site processing plant. Scottie Resources plans an extensive 2025 exploration drilling campaign aimed at converting inferred resources to indicated through infill drilling and expanding mineralization near the deposits, including new targets like the Wolf Zone. Despite the company's current lack of operational revenue and ongoing losses, this resource estimate and project development offer potential upside if successfully executed.
