An Edmond neighborhood is in shock after a house fire led to an officer-involved shooting. Police shot a man who was allegedly threatening neighbors with a knife as they responded to a fire at his home. The suspect, who has a history of erratic behavior and had previously prompted a neighbor to file a victim protection order against him, was taken to the hospital, but his condition remains unknown. Neighbors reported that the man had been acting dangerously, including setting a rolled-up carpet on fire on his porch before police arrived. Investigators are currently examining the connection between the fire and the shooting, as fire crews had to combat flames that spread to the second floor and attic of the home. Authorities continue to gather information and have yet to release the identity of the man involved.
