Man Charged After Uxbridge Triple Stabbing

On 27 October, a triple stabbing on Midhurst Gardens in Uxbridge left 49-year-old Wayne Broadhurst dead and two others — a 45-year-old man with life-changing injuries and a 14-year-old boy with non-life-threatening wounds — injured. Police arrested 22-year-old Safi Dawood at the scene; he was tasered and later assessed in custody, receiving hospital treatment for a medical episode before returning to custody. The Crown Prosecution Service has charged Dawood with murder, two counts of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon; he will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
