Everton Targets Fofana and Aznou in Summer Rebuild

Everton are advancing negotiations to sign Lyon winger Malick Fofana and Bayern Munich left-back Adam Aznou as part of a major summer overhaul. The club has submitted an official bid of about €36 million including bonuses for Fofana, who scored 11 goals and made five assists last season, while Lyon seeks at least €40 million amid interest from several top European clubs. Everton are also close to agreeing a €9 million fee for 19-year-old Aznou, who recently debuted for Bayern's first team and has international experience with Morocco. These moves align with manager David Moyes' plan to recruit up to ten new players as part of a squad rebuild. The new signings would join Thierno Barry, Mark Travers, and Carlos Alcaraz, who have already arrived this summer. Everton are preparing for the 2025-26 season at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium.
