At the AFI Fest premiere in Los Angeles on Oct. 25, Sydney Sweeney debuted a chin‑length, wavy ‘bleached suede’/icy blonde bob and wore a pale pink custom Miu Miu halter gown with floral lace and a belted waist. Hairstylist Glen Coco Oropeza and colorist Jacob Schwartz said they created the blunt bob and luminous pale blonde shade through a deliberate, weeklong transformation using Schwarzkopf Professional formulas to signal a “new chapter.” Stylists framed the chop as a bold red‑carpet moment that echoes the many hair changes her onscreen character undergoes. To inhabit boxing trailblazer Christy Martin, Sweeney gained roughly 30 pounds and underwent intensive weight and boxing training, and real‑life boxer Christy Martin was involved in filming and coached Sweeney. Directed by David Michôd and co‑starring Ben Foster and Merritt Wever, Christy premiered at AFI Fest ahead of its scheduled Nov. 7, 2025 release.
