Ireland Housing Asking Prices Rise 7% Nationally, 5% Dublin
Asking prices for houses in Ireland have risen by 7% annually, with prices outside Dublin increasing by 7.9% and in Dublin by 5.1%, driven by strong demand, mortgage approval growth, inadequate supply, and relaxed lending rules. The median asking price nationally stands at €395,000, with Dublin at €495,000 and the rest of the country at €340,000, while typical transactions settle 7.5% above asking price. Bank of Ireland's chief economist Conall MacCoille noted that President Donald Trump's announced 'Liberation Day' tariffs have not significantly impacted Ireland's housing market. Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, the real estate market has reached over $7 billion in home value on the market, with a median home price of $448,000, more than doubling over the past decade due to underbuilding and high demand. Although inventory has grown slightly, affordability remains a challenge, prompting Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo to sign a $180 million housing bill aimed at speeding construction and incentivizing affordable housing projects. Both markets illustrate ongoing housing supply constraints amid strong demand and price increases.
