Fires Cause Fatalities in Multiple Locations

Several fires have caused significant damage and loss of life across various locations. In Cumberland, Maryland, a fire in a vacant home was quickly controlled, limiting damage to $1,000. In Howard County, Maryland, one firefighter and one resident were injured, and 40 people were displaced following an apartment fire. Tragically, fires in Wayne County, WV, and Rapho Township, PA, resulted in the deaths of two women. Additionally, a fire in Calgary's Legacy community killed one woman and injured two firefighters. In Tempe, AZ, a woman died in a house fire following a deadly standoff between law enforcement and a fugitive.
