Jofra Archer Cleared for IPL 2025 Auction

Jofra Archer has officially reversed his decision and will now participate in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction after securing a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Initially, Archer opted out to focus on preparations for the Ashes but faced restrictions that would have barred him from future IPL auctions. His participation comes amid ongoing negotiations involving the ECB and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding other players like Mark Wood, who remains off the shortlist. Despite injury setbacks, Archer, who played only four matches in the last IPL season, is expected to attract significant interest from franchises. The auction is set to take place in Jeddah on November 24 and 25, featuring a pool of 574 players. Teams like the Mumbai Indians, who previously bought him, may look to acquire him again, while other franchises could also target the experienced pacer.
