Adobe has launched Premiere for iPhone, a free video editing app that brings professional multi-track editing capabilities and AI-powered tools to mobile devices, with an Android version in development. The app features a multi-track timeline, unlimited video, audio, and text layers, 4K HDR support, and automatic captions with stylized subtitles, enabling creators to trim, layer, and fine-tune clips with precision. Integrated generative AI via Adobe Firefly allows users to create unique content, including generative sound effects and voiceover enhancements such as noise reduction through the Enhance Speech feature. Projects can be started on the iPhone and seamlessly continued on Premiere Pro desktop, with one-tap exporting optimized for social media platforms like TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram, including automatic resizing to keep subjects framed. While the app is free to use, charges apply for AI credits and cloud storage, positioning Adobe to compete in the growing market of short-form video content creation.
