Multiple Fire Departments Hold Annual Open Houses Educating Public on Fire Safety

Several fire departments across different regions hosted open house events this autumn to promote fire safety and prevention. Brewster Fire Department offered educational exhibits, fire truck rides, and live demonstrations to teach families vital fire safety tips. Osoyoos Fire Department also welcomed families and aspiring junior firefighters with engaging activities and demonstrations. Champlain Township Fire Services held open houses at their fire stations, highlighting fire prevention and safety equipment to local residents. The Killeen Fire Department celebrated its annual Open House at a new state-of-the-art facility, focusing on the 2025 Fire Prevention Week theme of lithium-ion battery safety, featuring obstacle courses, live fire demonstrations, and tours of their modern fire station and Emergency Operations Center. These events provided communities with opportunities to learn fire safety, meet firefighters, and explore firefighting resources and technology.
