Regional High School Sports Awards Announced

The Illinois High School Football Coaches Association has unveiled its All-State teams, recognizing standout players such as Dixon's Cullen Shaner and Newman's Daniel Kelly across various classes, including 8-man football. Meanwhile, the All-Kishwaukee River Conference girls volleyball team has been announced, with Elissa Furlan from Richmond-Burton selected as the Player of the Year. In Kansas, the all-league soccer teams for the Wichita area have been released, highlighting top players like Nathan Calderon and Coach of the Year Cody Fitch. Additionally, several teams from the Lansing area have advanced to the MHSAA regional volleyball championship matches, including St. Johns and Parma Western. South Central, Oregon West, and other leagues have also announced their all-league football and volleyball selections for the 2024 season, emphasizing regional sports achievements and recognitions.
