Thor Industries Unveils Hybrid Class A Motorhome

Thor Industries, in collaboration with Harbinger, has introduced the world's first hybrid Class A motorhome, combining electric and gasoline technologies for improved range and efficiency. The prototype features a 140-kWh electric battery, a gasoline range extender, and a solar rooftop, promising an estimated range of up to 500 miles. This innovative RV utilizes an 800-volt electrical architecture for rapid charging and includes advanced features designed for enhanced performance and off-grid capabilities. Commercial models are expected to be available in 2025, catering to both seasoned RVers and newcomers. In addition to the hybrid announcement, Thor has unveiled new all-wheel-drive motorhome models for 2025, showcasing luxury and functionality. This shift towards hybrid options reflects a broader trend in the automotive industry, balancing traditional fuel sources with electric innovations.
