Newlywed British couple Phil and Hannah Perkins experienced a ruined honeymoon after arriving at their booked five-star EasyJet hotel in Rhodes, Greece, only to find it functioning as an active construction site. The couple described relentless drilling, banging, and the constant movement of trucks and machinery among sunbeds at the poolside, which severely disrupted their holiday and drowned out the bar music. Despite attempts to contact the holiday representative for resolution, Phil reported receiving no follow-up, leaving them feeling neglected and frustrated. The hotel was reportedly covered in concrete and dust, preventing the couple from capturing romantic memories and diminishing the luxury experience they had expected. This £1,080 getaway turned out to be a distressing and noisy ordeal, starkly contrasting with the anticipated relaxing and romantic atmosphere. The Perkins highlighted the lack of prior notice about ongoing renovations, which contributed to their bitter disappointment.
