32nd Indian Art History Congress Explores Epic Narratives in Art

The 32nd Indian Art History Congress will be held from February 8 to 10 in Noida, focusing on the theme 'Rendering of Indian Epics in Art and Culture.' This event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, aims to explore the artistic interpretations of ancient Indian epics such as the Ramayana and Mahabharata through various mediums. With over 200 abstracts submitted, it promises to foster interdisciplinary dialogues among scholars in art history and archaeology. Concurrently, the Surajkund International Handicraft Mela is set to take place from February 7 to 23, showcasing India's rich diversity in crafts, music, and cultural heritage, with Odisha and Madhya Pradesh as theme states this year. The Mela will feature traditional performances and provides logistical support to enhance visitor experience. Both events highlight India's cultural richness and the importance of preserving artistic traditions amid contemporary challenges.
