Two Children Critically Injured Hit-Run Manchester NH

Two children in Manchester, New Hampshire, sustained serious, life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car on Belmont Street. One child was in a stroller when the vehicle, reportedly speeding past a group of people, hit them and then crashed into a pole at the intersection of Belmont and Hanover Street. The suspect fled the scene initially but was quickly detained, despite claiming not to be the driver. Both children were transported to Elliot Hospital Trauma Center, with at least one possibly airlifted to a Boston hospital. Multiple streets around the crash site were closed for several hours as police investigated the cause of the crash. Authorities continue to investigate, and the condition of the children remains critical.
