22-Year-Old Killed in Columbus Road‑Rage Shooting

A 22-year-old woman, identified as Hannah Taylor, was killed in a suspected road‑rage shooting on Columbus’s Northeast Side after being shot while driving; her vehicle crashed at East Hudson Street and Velma/Pontiac and a second woman was hospitalized in stable condition, police said. Earlier that weekend, 33-year-old Shakeilah White was found with a gunshot wound on Wildwood Avenue, was taken to Grant Medical Center and later died; a man at the scene was detained and charged with tampering and weapons offenses. Separately in Phoenix, multiple vehicles at a Super 8 motel near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road were found with bullet holes as police investigate a motel shooting. In Washington, D.C., authorities arrested 23-year-old Martell West and charged him with second-degree murder while armed in the 2023 fatal shooting of 18-year-old Treyvon Wilson, and arrested 51-year-old Shawnta Aiken and charged her with second-degree murder while armed after a domestic-related shooting that killed 56-year-old Richard Walker. Investigators in all cases are canvassing neighborhoods, reviewing surveillance and asking the public to contact local homicide units or Crime Stoppers with tips.
