Microsoft Releases Xbox August Update With Cross-Device Play History

Microsoft's August Xbox update introduces cross-device and cloud-playable play history, allowing gamers to seamlessly continue their recent games across Xbox consoles, Windows PCs, and handheld devices. This feature consolidates all cloud-enabled titles, from original Xbox classics to Xbox Series X|S exclusives, into one easily accessible play history available via the Play history tile on consoles and the Most Recent section in the Xbox PC app. The update also brings new functionalities for Xbox Insiders, including a My Apps tab for quick access to third-party game launchers and utilities, and Gaming Copilot (Beta) in the Windows 11 Game Bar for in-game assistance.
