The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. when the truck, attempting to cross the tracks, became stranded, leading to the train smashing into it and damaging the crossing. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, and the driver declined medical treatment. As a result of the crash, nearby roads were closed for an extended period while police managed the scene. This incident adds to a growing concern regarding vehicles becoming stuck at railroad crossings, as demonstrated by a similar event involving an excavator in Jasper County earlier this month, where no significant injuries were reported as well.
