Escaped Prisoner Found after M55 Van Fleeing

Jamie Cooper, a 33-year-old prisoner, escaped from a GEOAmey van while being transported to court by faking a medical emergency on March 19. After his escape near Junction 2 of the M55 motorway close to Preston, he was reported to have been seen in Blackpool, Preston, and Bolton. Lancashire Police launched a dedicated search operation, releasing his description and urging the public not to approach him but to call 999 if spotted. Cooper is described as 5ft 7in tall, of medium build, with cropped hair, and was last seen wearing a blue coat, blue jeans, and black trainers. Following a four-day search, he was ultimately apprehended in Blackburn after police stopped a car linked to him. GEOAmey has announced plans for a full investigation into the incident.
