Ohio State QB Devin Brown Transfers to Cal
Following Ohio State's national championship victory over Notre Dame, backup quarterback Devin Brown has transferred to Cal. A former top 50 recruit, Brown will compete for the starting position at Cal, joining Oregon transfer Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele in a competitive quarterback class. Brown, who spent three seasons at Ohio State, served as a backup to Will Howard during their championship run. Despite limited playing time, he is regarded as a highly skilled player with significant potential. His decision to transfer comes after initially entering the portal in December but staying with Ohio State through their title-winning season. Ohio State is now looking to Julian Sayin, a top-ranked recruit, to lead their quarterback lineup in the 2025 season.
