Air Transat Plans First Nonstop Montreal-Agadir Flights Summer 2026

Air Transat is launching a new non-stop flight route between Montreal and Agadir, Morocco, beginning June 12, 2026, operating weekly on Fridays through October 23, 2026. This service makes Air Transat the only North American airline to offer direct flights to Agadir, complementing its existing Montreal-Marrakech route and solidifying its presence in Morocco. Utilizing the efficient and lower-emission Airbus A321LR, the route aims to meet increasing demand from both leisure travelers and the Moroccan community in Quebec. Agadir, located on Morocco's Atlantic coast, is a popular seaside destination known for its beaches and warm hospitality, and this new connection supports tourism growth, job creation, and local opportunities. Additionally, Air Transat plans to increase frequencies on several transatlantic routes to improve connectivity with Porter Airlines through Toronto. Sebastian Ponce, Transat's Chief Revenue Officer, emphasized Morocco's growing popularity due to its landscapes, culture, and diaspora ties between the two regions.
