Rory Gallagher Plans Return to Management

Rory Gallagher, the former manager of Derry GAA, has expressed his intention to return to inter-county management following his resignation amid domestic abuse allegations made by his estranged wife. Gallagher's solicitor, Phoenix Law, stated that there are no legal barriers preventing him from resuming his role, as he has not faced any charges and previous investigations resulted in no prosecutions. He was previously banned by Ulster GAA, but this ban was lifted by the Disputes Resolution Authority (DRA) after a hearing in February 2024, which ruled that the disbarment was incorrect. Gallagher has been linked with a return to Derry after Mickey Harte's departure, and he has communicated his position to the Derry county board.
