Nashville SC Signs Midfielder Edvard Tagseth

Nashville SC has signed Norwegian midfielder Edvard Tagseth from Rosenborg BK on a contract through 2026, with an option for 2027. The 23-year-old has made 138 appearances for Rosenborg, scoring nine goals and providing 19 assists, with his best season in 2024 featuring ten goal contributions in 26 matches. Nashville's general manager Mike Jacobs emphasized Tagseth's role as a ball progressor and chance creator, which is crucial following the team's struggles that led to missing the MLS playoffs last season. Tagseth, who previously played in Liverpool's youth system, joins fellow midfielder Patrick Yazbek from Norway, aiming to strengthen Nashville's midfield ahead of the upcoming season. Nashville finished 13th in the Eastern Conference in 2024, marking their first playoff absence in five years.
