Volkswagen unveils ID.1 electric car concept priced at €20,000, aims for 2027 launch

Volkswagen has unveiled its upcoming electric vehicle, the ID. EVERY1, set to debut in 2027 with a price tag around €20,000. This small car aims to enhance VW's competitiveness in the entry-level electric market, directly competing with models from rivals like Renault and Stellantis. Designed to be more visually appealing than previous models, the ID. EVERY1 promises a more engaging style and improved interior space. Volkswagen CEO Thomas Schäfer emphasized the importance of this model in their strategy to lead the high-volume market by 2030, while also assuring that iconic names will not be misused on uninspiring vehicles. The ID. EVERY1 reflects VW's commitment to affordable electric mobility, crucial for their future market position as they recover from declining sales. Alongside this, the ID.2 model is also expected to launch in 2026, further expanding VW's electric offerings.
