Freddie Freeman, the Los Angeles Dodgers' first baseman and the 2024 World Series MVP, is sidelined due to an ankle injury sustained from a slip in the shower. This incident aggravated his surgically repaired right ankle, which had not fully recovered since he sprained it in September 2024. Despite his eagerness to play, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has placed Freeman on a day-to-day status to allow for recovery.
