Secunderabad-Vasco Da Gama Express Inaugurated

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy inaugurated the Secunderabad-Vasco Da Gama Express, a new bi-weekly train service aimed at enhancing tourism and transportation links between Telangana and Goa. The service, which begins regular operations on September 9, will operate twice a week, providing direct connectivity to several cities in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. Reddy also highlighted significant railway infrastructural developments in Telangana, including a Rs 700 crore redevelopment of the Secunderabad railway station, expected to be completed by 2025. Additionally, a one-way special express train will cater to increased passenger demand, further facilitating travel between these regions. The initiative is anticipated to promote domestic tourism and provide easier access to cultural and historical sites in both states. Overall, this new service is expected to significantly improve travel efficiency between Secunderabad and Vasco Da Gama.
