Woman Disqualified for Drink Driving Offenses
Beth Furber, 30, was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months after pleading guilty to causing serious injury through careless driving in Sutton Weaver. She was involved in an incident on October 7, 2022, resulting in serious injuries to a man, and was also disqualified from driving for a year. In a separate case, Emma Reedman, 53, was found driving a silver Volkswagen Golf without a front tyre and more than three times the legal alcohol limit. Following a report from the public, police apprehended her on October 20, 2023, and she received a disqualification of three years and four months after pleading guilty to drink driving. Reedman's evidential breath sample revealed 116 micrograms of alcohol in 110ml of breath, significantly exceeding the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Both cases highlight the dangers of irresponsible driving and the legal consequences involved.
