Netflix Renews The Hunting Wives for Global Season 2

Netflix has officially renewed the hit series The Hunting Wives for a second season, with the original cast—including Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman—set to reprise their roles. Created by Rebecca Cutter and based on May Cobb’s bestselling novel, the show follows Sophie, a Boston transplant drawn into the decadent and secretive world of socialite Margo in East Texas. Season 2 will continue the storyline with Sophie and Margo initially estranged but soon reunited by old secrets and new foes, raising the question of who are the hunters and who are the hunted. The first season, which premiered exclusively on Netflix in the U.S., was a major success, spending five weeks in the global English Top 10 TV list and amassing over 20 million views. The renewal marks a shift from the show’s initial plan to air on Starz, as Netflix now holds exclusive global rights for the series.
