14-Year-Old Schoolboy Killed in Ayrshire Road Collision
A 14-year-old schoolboy was tragically killed after being struck by a Vauxhall Corsa on the A76 bridge over Cessnock Water near Hurlford, Ayrshire. The fatal collision occurred around 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, and the boy was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver and two passengers were checked by paramedics but did not require hospital treatment. The road was closed for several hours while police conducted a full collision investigation. Police Sergeant Brian Simpson expressed condolences to the family and urged anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact Police Scotland to assist with the ongoing inquiry. Authorities continue to support the family as they investigate the full circumstances of the incident.
