Benedict Cumberbatch Joins Guy Ritchie's Wife & Dog

Benedict Cumberbatch has joined the cast of Guy Ritchie's upcoming film, Wife & Dog, alongside Rosamund Pike and Anthony Hopkins. The film, which is expected to start principal photography in February 2025 in the UK, is described as a return to the colorful and backstabbing world of British aristocracy similar to Ritchie's previous work in The Gentlemen. Ritchie is both writing and producing the film, collaborating with longtime partner Ivan Atkinson and Black Bear Pictures. Wife & Dog marks Ritchie's third project with Black Bear, following The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and In the Grey. While plot details remain under wraps, the film is part of a busy slate for Ritchie, who has multiple projects lined up for 2025. Black Bear launched sales for the film at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
