Japan Promises Additional Vehicles to Ukraine

Japan's Defense Minister Gen Nakatani has announced plans to supply additional Self-Defense Force vehicles to Ukraine during a meeting with Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov, marking continued support amidst ongoing Russian aggression. Nakatani condemned military cooperation between Russia, China, and North Korea, calling it detrimental to the situation in Ukraine. Japan has previously provided around 100 vehicles and over $4.5 billion in financial aid to Ukraine since 2022. Meanwhile, leaders from the Czech Republic, Denmark, and the Netherlands have pledged to maintain ammunition supplies to Ukraine through 2025, emphasizing the importance of quick funding decisions to ensure a steady flow of munitions. The Czech Republic is spearheading an initiative to secure large-caliber ammunition for Ukraine, targeting the delivery of half a million shells by the year's end. This collaboration among allies aims to bolster Ukraine's defense capabilities against ongoing threats.
