USWNT Roster Announced for European Friendlies

The U.S. women's national soccer team, coached by Emma Hayes, will play friendlies against England and the Netherlands without their star forwards Trinity Rodman, Sophia Smith, and Mallory Swanson due to injuries. This 'Triple Espresso' trio, pivotal in winning the gold at the Paris Olympics, has been omitted to allow them recovery time. The team will face England at Wembley Stadium on November 30 and the Netherlands on December 3. Hayes aims to use these matches to test and develop a younger squad as part of the preparation for the next World Cup. New call-ups include Manchester United goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce and Utah Royals forward Ally Sentnor, with additional players like Lily Yohannes making their first appearances for the senior team. Despite Rodman's ongoing back issue, she will play in the NWSL Championship with the Washington Spirit.
