Two Fatal Stabbings in Manhattan and Brooklyn
Two fatal stabbings over the weekend left a 34-year-old man dead in East New York, Brooklyn, and a 69-year-old man dead in Manhattan’s Lower East Side/Chinatown. In Brooklyn, police found 34-year-old Luis Gonzalez with a stab wound to the abdomen near Glenmore and Sheffield Avenues after a 911 call; he later died at Brookdale University Hospital, officers recovered no weapon, and witnesses and police described a suspect in black who fled in a white Audi — no arrests have been reported. The 75th Precinct has seen the murder count rise nearly 38% year-to-date. In Manhattan, a 69-year-old man was stabbed inside an Eldridge Street building and died at Bellevue Hospital; reporting differs on whether a suspect has been arrested, with one outlet naming 50-year-old Feizhon Zheng while others say no arrest was announced. Both investigations remain active and police are asking anyone with information to contact NYPD Crime Stoppers.
