Two notable fires occurred recently in different locations, each causing significant property loss but no injuries. In northeastern Forsyth County, a house fire displaced three residents early Wednesday morning, with smoke detectors alerting them in time to escape. Approximately 40 firefighters from 10 departments responded, and the American Red Cross is assisting those affected while investigators seek to determine the cause. Separately, in Collegeville Township, a grass fire fueled by discarded ash from a wood boiler rapidly spread due to high winds and dry conditions, destroying an ice-fishing house and a camper near a large shop. Firefighters managed to prevent the fire from reaching the shop, and multiple local agencies responded to the incident. Both events underscore the risks posed by environmental conditions and the importance of prompt emergency response.
