Monster Train 2 announced for PC, PS5, Xbox, Switch in 2025

Shiny Shoe has announced the development of Monster Train 2, a sequel to the popular roguelike deckbuilder, which will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch later this year, with a demo currently accessible on Steam. The game expands on the original by introducing five new clans, each offering unique strategic advantages, and features a new storyline where former angels and demons unite to combat powerful Titans threatening their world. Players can expect new gameplay mechanics, including Room and Equipment Cards, alongside a rich variety of new challenges, modes, and customization options. The gameplay retains the original's three-tiered battle system while introducing fresh environments and enemy factions. Additionally, the sequel promises to enhance the deck-building experience with hundreds of new and familiar cards, along with new unit abilities. The game aims to push players' strategic thinking as they navigate through a narrative that combines elements of heaven and hell.
