Margaritaville at Sea Acquires Costa Fortuna

Margaritaville at Sea is expanding its fleet with the acquisition of Costa Fortuna, which will become the cruise line’s third and largest vessel, accommodating about 3,450 passengers. The ship, currently operated by Costa Cruises, is set to transition to Margaritaville at Sea in late 2026 and will undergo renovations to reflect the brand's island-inspired style. This addition follows the successful launches of Margaritaville at Sea Paradise in 2022 and Islander in 2024, both of which were also former Costa ships. The company plans to add new concepts and features on board, including potential dedicated spaces for its 'Heroes Sail Free' program honoring military and frontline workers. CEO Christopher Ivy cited strong guest demand and reaffirmed the company's commitment to delivering unique, laid-back cruise experiences. The homeport for Costa Fortuna has not yet been announced.
