Pa. Man Charged in Fatal Stabbing of Adopted Son in Luzerne County

Cesar Delgadillo, a 39-year-old man from Drums, Luzerne County, has been charged with criminal homicide and related offenses after fatally stabbing his 13-year-old adopted son at their Butler Township home early Monday morning. Police responded to a call around 6:20-6:30 a.m. and found the boy suffering from multiple injuries to his head, chest, back, hands, and neck, inflicted over several hours, and learned Delgadillo had prevented the teen from leaving. The boy was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Hazleton, where he was pronounced dead. Delgadillo was apprehended at the scene, arraigned by a magistrate, denied bail, and is currently being held at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility. The investigation is ongoing, led by state police and the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office. Neighbors expressed shock at the incident, describing the family as quiet and friendly.
