Scottsdale Worker Confesses to Sexual Assault Allegations

Gabriel Garcia, a 43-year-old medication technician at Scottsdale Village Square, has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 78-year-old resident diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's. The incident, which occurred on January 28, was captured on a camera placed in the resident's room by her family, allowing them to witness the assault. Garcia initially denied the allegations but confessed after being shown the footage and claimed unawareness of the resident's condition, citing personal difficulties at home. He had previously been under investigation for a similar incident at another facility. Garcia is charged with sexual assault and emotional abuse of a vulnerable adult, with his bond set at $100,000.
