Benji Gregory, Former Child Star, Dies at 46

Former child actor Benji Gregory, best known for his role as Brian Tanner on the '80s sitcom 'ALF,' was found dead in his car in Peoria, Arizona, on June 13, 2024. The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's office ruled his death an accident caused by environmental heat exposure in the context of hepatic cirrhosis. Gregory was found alongside his service dog, Hans, also deceased. His sister, Rebecca Hertzberg-Pfaffinger, revealed that Gregory had struggled with bipolar disorder, depression, and a sleep disorder. The family believes he fell asleep in his car after depositing residual checks. They are grieving his loss and have suggested donations in his name to the Actors' Equity Foundation or the ASPCA.
