World mall was temporarily closed for a week following widespread condemnation from legislative members, who viewed the incident as an infringement on the farmer's dignity. The farmer, Fakeerappa, was turned away for wearing a 'panche' (dhoti), which Shivakumar emphasized is part of the state's cultural attire. The mall has since apologized and cleared its tax dues. Opposition leaders have suggested that these guidelines should be included in licensing regulations to ensure compliance. The government aims to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future by establishing these comprehensive guidelines.
