YSRCP Conducts Atonement Rituals in Andhra Pradesh

In response to allegations from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu regarding the use of adulterated ghee in the preparation of Tirupati laddus, YSRCP leaders across the state conducted forgiveness rituals to atone for the alleged 'sin' committed by Naidu. Naidu's claims, stating that the previous YSRCP government used substandard ingredients at the Sri Venkateswara temple, ignited significant controversy and hurt the sentiments of millions of Hindus. YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy countered these allegations, asserting they were unfounded and that the ghee samples tested were drawn during the NDA regime. Leading the atonement ceremonies, former TTD chairman B Karunakar Reddy and other YSRCP leaders prayed at various temples, emphasizing their commitment to the sanctity of the sacred laddus. Critics within YSRCP expressed skepticism over Naidu's motives, claiming he politicized a non-issue. The situation highlights the ongoing tensions between the YSRCP and the ruling NDA in Andhra Pradesh.
