Teen, father arrested after shooting FedEx driver in Tennessee
A 17-year-old male was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service on January 22, 2025, for allegedly shooting at a FedEx delivery truck driver during a road rage incident in Jackson, Tennessee, on December 15, 2024. The suspect is accused of firing a shot that narrowly missed the driver before fleeing the scene at speeds exceeding 100 mph. His father, Ricky Maness Jr., was also arrested for providing false information about his son's whereabouts during the investigation. The teen was located hiding under a bed at his home in Lexington, Tennessee. He has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and other felonies, while his father faces charges as an accessory after the fact. The U.S. Marshals' Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force played a key role in the apprehension.
