Texas DPS, Randall County arrest five seizing over 2.4kg drugs, firearms in Amarillo raid

On October 3, 2025, the Texas Department of Public Safety, with assistance from the Randall County Sheriff's Office, executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence in Amarillo's Eastridge neighborhood, resulting in the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of a significant amount of drugs and firearms. Law enforcement confiscated approximately 1,202 grams of marijuana, five grams of cocaine, 62 grams of methamphetamine, 1,135 grams of THC-infused products, 242 fluid ounces of promethazine, and three firearms. The arrested individuals face various charges including felony possession and manufacture/delivery of controlled substances, with one individual also arrested for an outstanding warrant. The arrested persons were booked into Potter County Jail, including John Medellin and Martell Kheuasouvanh facing multiple felony drug charges. Authorities emphasized their ongoing commitment to combating drug trafficking and organized crime in the Texas Panhandle.
