Saudi Arabia Opens Phase 1 of 83km Sports Boulevard Project in Riyadh

The Sports Boulevard Foundation, led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has announced the opening of the first phase of the Sports Boulevard project in Riyadh, which includes five key destinations aimed at promoting physical and social well-being. The completed length of the project now stands at 83 km, with overall progress at 40%. Notable destinations include Wadi Hanifah, a 13.4 km area featuring pathways and green spaces, and the Promenade, designed with cycling paths and recreational areas. The project, initially launched in March 2019, is part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative to enhance the quality of life in Riyadh and position it among the world’s most livable cities. The first phase is set to welcome visitors starting February 27. This initiative is designed to encourage active lifestyles and foster a vibrant community environment.
