Jeff Beck's guitar collection sells for over $10 million, breaks auction records

A recent auction at Christie's in London featuring the guitar collection of the late rock legend Jeff Beck raised over $10 million, far exceeding expectations. Notable sales included Beck's iconic 1954 'Oxblood' Gibson Les Paul, which fetched approximately $1.3 million, setting a new record for a Gibson Les Paul. Additionally, his Fender 'Anoushka' guitar sold for around $1.2 million, with both instruments being among 130 items sold, including amplifiers and pedals. The auction attracted bids from 40 countries, highlighting Beck's global appeal and legacy after his passing in January 2023 at age 78. Proceeds from the auction will support the Folly Wildlife Rescue, a charity close to Beck and his family. Sandra Beck expressed gratitude for the support of fans and the recognition of Jeff’s legacy through the auction's success.
