Steelers Sign Chuck Clark, Release Davis

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed veteran safety Chuck Clark, formerly of the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets, to strengthen their secondary after trading Minkah Fitzpatrick. Clark, entering his ninth NFL season, brings 429 career tackles, five interceptions, and significant starting experience, though recent injuries have limited his play. He is expected to compete for a starting role alongside DeShon Elliott and Juan Thornhill, both recent additions from AFC North rivals. Clark impressed coaches and teammates upon joining late in training camp, demonstrating his adaptability. The signing follows the Steelers' recent workout with ex-Ravens safety Marcus Williams, making further additions at the position less likely. To make room for Clark, the Steelers released defensive tackle Dominque Davis.
