Woman, 26, dies after fall down Liverpool nightclub stairs

Georgia Harry, a 26-year-old civil servant described as 'bubbly and fun,' died after slipping and falling down a set of concrete stairs in Lost Bar, Liverpool, while walking to the basement toilets with her friend Michael Pollard. The fall occurred around 2:15 a.m. on March 17, 2025, when Georgia's legs gave way about six steps from the bottom, causing her to hit her head severely. Despite immediate assistance and first aid advice from a sober witness, and subsequent hospital treatment including life support at the Walton Centre, she died nearly a month later on April 13. Toxicology reports revealed she had an alcohol level approximately three and a half times the drink-driving limit and a low level of ketamine in her system. An inquest noted the absence of slip-resistant strips on the basement stairs, which may have contributed to the fall, though CCTV footage was inconclusive due to obstruction. Authorities and witnesses emphasized efforts to avoid worsening her injuries after the fall, but the coroner concluded her death was likely caused by the extensive brain injury sustained during the accident.
